Gallery Policies for AAEB Art Shows
-
Artist will assist with the setting up and arranging of temporary exhibits and displays. Artwork MUST be ready to hang (wire and hooks already attached to art). Wires should be only 3 to 4 inches down from the top of each art piece so they hang correctly from the “hooks”
-
Exhibits must be limited to items that can be hung on the designated gallery system. An average of 10 to 20 pieces. The final decision of the arrangements of the gallery space and for non-hanging displays shall rest with Lilia Reynoso gallery coordinator. (Artists may provide pedestals for sculpture, one or two at the most) Placement rests with gallery coordinator.
-
Any materials exhibited for sale shall show price, the name of the piece and phone number of exhibitor to contact additional information, etc. Artists are invited to hang a flyer or display about themselves and their work. Pieces sold may be picked up the last day of your exhibit or sooner, based on your communication and arrangements with the buyer. Please fill in blank spaces with additional inventory or ask for assistance with rearrangement so the “gallery” is still pleasing for the entire run of your show.
-
At set-up and take down, PLEASE take great care with the walls and floors at any gallery space we exhibit in. We do not want to take advantage of these generous opportunities to have public gallery space!
-
One week prior to set-up day – e-mail AAEB with an overview of yourself and your work. This information will be posted on this website. If you have some photos of your work, e-mail them as well. lilia@artassociationeastbay.com
-
On set-up day bring the following:
-
10 flyers announcing your work, at the minimum, for the windows and to post along side your work.
-
Title and pricing cards for each piece (covered above as well)
-
A good number of business cards (people may want to get in touch with you)
